COMPOSITION
Oxytong 20 L.A is a sterile injectable solution eah ml contains Oxytetracycline 200mg. Excipients; Mgnesium Oxide, Sodium Formaldehyde Sulfoxylate, Ethanolamine, 2-pyrrolidone, Propylene Glycol, Water for injections q.s to 1ml.
INDICATIONS;
Oxytong 20 L.A is indicated for treatment of following diseases caused by oxytetracycline susceptible organisms in cattle, sheep and swine; Pneumonia and shipping fever complex associated with pasteurella spp. And haemophilius spp, infectious bovine ketaoconjuctivities (pinkeye) caused by Moraxella bovis; foot rot and diphtheria caused by Fusobacterium necrophorum, bacterial enteritis (scours) caused by Escherichia coli; wooden tongue caused by Actinobacillus Lignierisil; leptospirosis caused by Leptospira pomoma; wound infections and acute metritis caused by strains of staphylococci and streptococci organisms sensitive to oxtetracycline.
Rickettsia and mycoplasma are also sensitive to Oxytong 20 L.A.
